Editor’s Note: Etty Lewensztain first made her mark on The Menuism Blog last fall with the debut of her monthly column, featuring practical tips to help wine lovers enhance their wine drinking experiences. Now we’d like to welcome you to the first installment of Etty’s new monthly video series, which is–you guessed it!–all about vino.

In this first video of the series, Etty offers step-by-step advice on how to taste wine like the pros do. Proper swirling technique? Check. Judging a wine by its color? No doubt. Gargling the wine for a more intense flavor experience? You bet!

Now you’ll wow the next time you go wine tasting. So press play and don’t forget to tell us what you think in the comments section below!

Now that I’ve learned how to swirl, smell and taste, I can’t wait to share the experience with all of my friends. Thanks!

Very informative. Now that I understand the process I will no longer stare at the wine tasters at the next table who are making funny swirling noises.
