Okay, I have been to the Cove dozens of times. You are not supposed to put your name in until your entire party is present. There is always a line outside and they ask you not to be put on the waiting list until your entire party is there so that you do not keep everyone else waiting. Your waitress was likely upset that she was “waiting” on a table that was not ready. Next time, be there on time, have enough respect to your server not to waste their time waiting for you and you will enjoy your time there. Sorry for being harsh but as a service worker I know that your waitress’s pay is based on the work she does and it is not fair for her to lose her time and money accommodating people that are not only unwilling to follow the rules but who then also have the gall to complain about it online. Now, please excuse the diatribe and let me say that this establishment serves the best breakfast of any place in NJ and if you get the chance give it a try. Read all the other reviews, this place is amazing.
