These are the restaurants I eat at *all* the time...

Notes
The best conveyor belt sushi restaurant I've been to. It has an array of sushi as well as hot plates. This is a cheap eat and a good eat.
Dishes
Spicy Tuna, Crab Mayo, Teri-Chicken Bowl, Vegetable Croquette

Notes
The appetizers are fun. The salads are the best. It may have discontinued my all-time favorite pizza [Peking Duck], but I still keep coming back for the other less tasty but still stellar offerings.
Dishes
Sesame Chicken Dumplings, Chinese Chicken Salad, California Club Pizza

Notes
Having lived in Boston for two years [during which I ate Thai food like it was my job], I know it like the back of my hand. I also know the Thai food in Honolulu is nowhere near the caliber of Thai food in Boston--or Sydney's Newtown for that matter. However, If you're craving Thai as I often am, I go to and recommend Chiang Mai. Don't judge it by its ghetto exterior, the inside is rather quaint and very Thai. They have a diverse and lengthy menu to satisfy the pickiest of palates and a quenching Thai iced tea. The only item I don't recommend is the Pad Thai. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near the best I've had. If you desperately need your noodle fixin', go for the pad see eew instead. Happy eating!
Dishes
Spring rolls, papaya salad, all of the different colored curries

Notes
I haven't been to the original Mini Garden in years and for good reason: It's not in the cleanest or safest part of town. I prefer the Mini Garden located on 2065 South Beretania Street. Not only is it cleaner and safer, it has free parking and nicer decor. The service is friendly and prompt, and the food tastes like anything you would find at Fook Yuen or Legend Seafood, but costs less--a lot less. I look no further than here for authentic, affordable Chinese cuisine. This is Panda Express for those who can differentiate between real and westernized Chinese food.
Dishes
Crispy shrimp balls, won ton noodle soup, cake noodle with any topping
