When was the last time you treated yourself out to a nice restaurant? Omaha Restaurant Week is here, and there's no better time to explore new restaurants and indulge in the finest food that the city has to offer! From September 14th until September 23rd, a wide variety of Omaha's premier restaurants will offer special prix fixe meal deals for either $19, $29 or $39 per person. Participating restaurants are supporting Food Bank for the Heartland, and many of these restaurants are also serving as a drop-off site for monetary donations. So, what are you waiting for? Welcome to Cafe L. My name is Luis Palacio and I am the owner operator. I have been in the restaurant business since 1978, and can't think of doing anything else. It has always been a dream to open my own place where other people can enjoy the foods that I enjoy eating. I have been using my family and friends as my guide to developing my recipes. All my menu items have a personal story behind them. Look for the stories on my blog. Cafe L offers dishes made from scratch, and all natural ingredients. From the gravy made with the onion, carrots and celery, to the spicy pork chili, you will be able to tell there is no way to get those flavors from a box. I have added a smoked pork menu. We used Duroc pork which is raised in Iowa. This is considered the "Black Angus" of pork. There are no steroids, no antibiotics and they are free-ranged. The meat is very tender and tasty. I have my pork smoked by Ray Green. He has a BBQ catering business and is a perfect smoker. Come in on Fridays to taste his smokey flavors. We offer homemade meals, breads, pastries, pies and desserts. We are always trying new items so look for them as specials throughout the week. Please keep in mind the menus are just a guide...just ask if there is anything new.

This Italian steakhouse is of the Omaha Original steakhouses. The Venice was founded by Eli Caniglia in 1957 who with his four brothers started the first pizzeria in Omaha. From there, they turned the pizzeria into an Italian steakhouse. Eli brought his Sicilian recipes and a touch of Italy with an old town atmosphere to midtown Omaha. The Venice Inn serves Omaha’s finest choice of Steaks, Chops, and Prime Rib, specializing in Sicilian and Italian Dinners, along with fresh Seafood, Fish, Chicken dishes, and Pizzas. The restaurant now has outdoor seating on a beautiful deck setting. It seats a total of 450 and takes great pride in their intimate banquet rooms that seat 20 to 175 for all occasions. "Ryan Gish has done it again! His latest venture - The ZIN Room - is nestled in the lower level of the new Hotel Deco boutique hotel in downtown Omaha. It is nothing short of fantastic! While some city restaurants shirk hotel restaurants, I implore you to not make this same mistake with the venue at 316 S 15 St. It has a lovely warmth and welcoming staff and should be appreciated by tourists and urbanites alike. Upon entering, the subtle scent of smoky goodness greeted us, and once we were settled into our cozy table, salivating was inevitable. We were very appreciative of the extensive wine selections, which are priced very appropriately. Additionally, there are a number of signature cocktails available from the full service bar.  The menu is delightfully diverse and will tempt the appetites of both hotel guests and local diners. The ZIN Room is an ideal location for an after work cocktail and appetizers, to celebrate a special occasion or just to enjoy a wonderfully tasty dinner with friends.
