I’ve been ordering take-out from #1 Chinese for about 15 years now. They have the most outstanding Sesame Chicken in the Triad.

Don’t let the location fool you. They’ve been in the same College Village store front for nearly 20 years.

They are unpretentious and friendly. There is basically no language barrier to speak of and the owners are very professional.

This place has been a well-kept secret. Even High Point University students don’t really know! Call in the order and pick it up in about 15 minutes.

The lunch specials are generous and they don’t skimp on sauce or condiments.

Other must-try’s are the Beef Lo Mein, the Standard Egg roll, and the egg drop soup. All are prepared fresh and the taste is quite spectacular.

This is a take-out place…no real seating to be had here. So, give them a call on your way home from South High Point back to the North end.
