Recommended by friends on the East Coast who had eaten here, this place didn’t disappoint. Not a big place, the place has three distinct areas that set its ambiance; the inside main space, a smaller area in the front that is open to the street in nice weather (this is where we sat), and a long bar area that hugs a side wall that shares space with both the inside and outside areas. Since seafood is something I always enjoy, especially at the ocean, we shared an appetizer of Smoked Bacon Wrapped Dayboat Scallops with pineapple salsa and micro greens, as well as an appetizer of Red and Golden Beets with warm hazelnut crusted goat cheese and shallot vinaigrette. Both really done well.

For our main course, I had the bouillabaisse-like dish of Wild King Salmon in a saffron and tomato broth, with Manila clams, New Zealand mussels, shrimp, smoked bacon, Cannellini beans, sweet pepper and basil pistou. The flavors in this dish were superb and the seafood cooked perfectly, so that the mussels, clams and shrimp each were not overdone or rubbery. We finished the meal off with a bottle of 2006 Cakebread, Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley.
