Best gourmet burger for your buck

This restaurant is owned by Govind Armstrong who was a judge on Top Chef. Being a huge fan of that show I was excited to give this place a try.
My expectations were not only met but exceeded.
I went on a Wednesday evening with a friend and was pleasantly surprised that we were able to be seated right away. I know it gets pretty busy on weekends.
Our server was nice and efficient. Not overly attentive which can get annoying.
We started out with the fried Wisconsin cheese curds – what can I say? I’m a midwest girl. – DELICIOUS. We scarfed those down so fast that our server brought us another order because she didn’t see that we had gotten the first order and housed it already! So she gave them to us free – score!
I also had the special Bloody Murder bloody mary. It had serrano infused vodka, a spicy salt rim and was very tasty. My friend had two cocktails during the course of our meal and liked them very much too.
On to the burgers. They have a few signature burgers you can order as is or you can add to it. You can also make your own. I ordered a burger with blue cheese and hot sauce and a side of fried pickles. The burger was cooked to medium perfection and tasted amazing. The fried pickles – ho. ly. cow. SO GOOD. In fact, I would love an order right now! My friend got one of the signature burgers with a side of truffled potato skins – which were amazing and the sauteed spinach which was divine.
In the middle of our meal, we saw Chef Armstrong himself come in and out of the kitchen which, to me at least, is always a good sign. Also, I was pretty excited to see him.
The whole experience was a ten. And the best part was that – for all that we got: 3 cocktails, two appetizers (granted one was free) two burgers with three sides – it was just under $65.
I can’t wait to go back!

This was a perfectly cooked burger that came with a side. I chose fried pickles and turns out it was the exact right choice.
