Ha ha! I’m glad i’ve actually been to Japan and that my “memories of Japan” have nothing to do with this place. This place is about “Sushi is popular now so we can cash in on this trend!” Sushi rice was mushy and cut super thin. Cheap but crap is crap.
There are so many better places to go than this place

This is, by far, the best quality Teppanyaki restaurant for the price anywhere in Toronto. Sure, for a lot more elsewhere, you can get one hell of a show, but the food wouldn’t be much better, and the service is excellent. We’ve brought perhaps 10+ people or couples here, and I’ve never had anyone leave unimpressed.
Their fixed-course dinners include Tuna/Cucumber sushi, Miso soup, salad, vegetables and fried rice on the Teppan, and your choice of two meats. Vegitarian options available, as are a plethora of sushi options, appetizers, and Teppan-cooked accompanyments. One of my favourite is an excellently-prepared Beef Sashimi. They finish your meal with ice cream.
The base dinner is only about $17/person, and the service has always been top notch.
