I brought a friend who’s lived in Beijing for years and he was happy with this place. My aunt, who is Chinese-American, also prefer this place to ones in Los Angeles and Shanghai.

The environment is pretty authentic Chinese, with loud voices, workers making dumplings at the tables, and no-frills service. But the tea is hot, the prices are cheap, and the food is good. Try the beef noodle soup, with a cold side of marinated cucumbers.

if i’m ever in the mood for variety and something quick, a & j’s comes to mind. you can order a bunch of small dishes that come out fairly quickly, and taste alright given the low prices. the only beef i have w/is the cleanliness — i inevitably feel greasy and sticky when eating here.

Probably some of the rudest service, but consistently tasty stuff. Good prices, as well.

Beef Noodle Soup, Pork Chop Fried Rice, the Pot Stickers and the Green Onion Pancake are all worth it.

This place is great for a quick dinner or lunch with friends. The food tastes good enough. The service is ok. The place doesn’t look so clean though.
