From the Restaurant

The Yarrow Bay Grill, located on the lake at Kirkland’s beautiful Carillon Point, offers innovative seafood and steaks paired with a Wine Spectator award winning wine list. Critically acclaimed chef Vicky McCaffree brings a touch of whimsy to every dish, earning a “Highly Recommended” recognition from the Seattle PI (Providence Cicero 7/9/04) for her “Northwest-centric” cuisine as well as the restaurant’s “…aura of an exclusive country club – but one where everyone who crosses the threshold becomes a member."

Scallop conversion

I frequent this place quite often. They are usually on the 25 for $25 list of restaurants and I have been there 3 times for that.

I went from not a scallop person to ordering scallops 70% of the time I’m there. The other 30%, I try other dishes. :)

Its excellent for a romantic dinner or with a group of friends. Plus, you can doggy bag your wine, if you cannot finish it.

As an added bonus, during the 25 for $25, if you use MasterCard (if I remember correctly), you can get some gift certificate for some grocery store, towards something. Of course, you need to go a bit earlier in the 25 for $25 season before they run out.

What I ate:
  • *****

Lightly battered and very flavourful, my mouth drips when I think about it

  • ****

Not as good as SeaStar, but close. The mango sauce with curried flavour crabcakes adds a nice tropical touch

  • *****

    Best scallops in Seattle!!
