Pretty good, but kind of bugging about the "Can't seat you..

until your full party is here.” Besides being fanatical about this, the food is pretty good. They have the trendy breakfast foods like stuffed french toast and whole wheat pancakes.

Its a small place, with a great server staff. They are quick to bring you coffee when you want and are full of service.

If you like fancy breakfasts, this place is for you.

great neighborhood breakfast eatery, served all day. got the french toast orgy and it’s enough food for 2 people. wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but was not disappointed, my stomach & tastebuds would agree.

The waitress warned me that the French Toast Orgy was a heck of a lot of food for one person; she pretty much forced me to not get all three chocolate. (Good thing!) The strawberry one was by far my favorite—absolutely delish! You must go and try this.

The Sweet Escape

Ok, so I’ve been on a brunch mission lately, and Toast was next on my list. This Lincoln Park joint is close to where I live, so I decided to check it out since I’ve read some great reviews about it. The interior is snug but well decorated, and we got there around 8 in the morning, so it was still pretty empty. This was definitely a kid-friendly place seeing how there were quite a few young families there with tykes running around. We got great service—friendly and attentive, but more importantly, the food was amazing and the quantities were huge! I was blown away by the French Toast Orgy, and the Eggs Benedict were also incredible. This is definitely another brunch place I have to add to my ever-growing list of places to revisit, especially since they also have an impressive lunch menu. Yum.

Wow. This was a stunning platter when they plopped it on our table – it was huge! I picked the pureed strawberry filled version (you can also choose chocolate or mascarpone filled), topped with fresh fruit, granola and yogurt. This was one sweet treat – maybe even a little too decadent (hence the 4 stars), but definitely memorable!

Everything was clicking with this amazing dish. The eggs were nicely done (not over-cooked), the prosciutto was a wonderful spin on the traditional bacon/ham on english muffin, and the truffle hollandaise sauce topped it off perfectly. The potatoes on the side weren’t have bad either!
