Far North, Far Above & Beyond
The most charming aspect of Nonno Pino’s is their liberal use of olive oil; you can sop up anything, anytime, ‘cause the oil will be there for you.
The restaurant itself is casual-nice (if you have small children in tow, get the food to go) and they open the very large windows in the summer to let the great weather in.
My favorite dish is a pasta with broccoli and sundried tomatoes covered in cheese and olive oil. It’s out of this world. I could eat 10 plates of it and the Italians there still wouldn’t judge.
Thanks to the waitress who kindly gave me a new fork when the one I had mysteriously went flying out of my hands. She didn’t even smirk.
