disappointing brunch

the grille is a classy & elegant dining restaurant that offers lunch, dinner, and sunday brunch.

i’ve been here for lunch & dinner, and the food is traditional american, a bit expensive, but quite good. it’s a nice place to treat yourself. the food isn’t spectacular, but this restaurant is one of the nicer places in lake forest.

i wouldn’t recommend coming here for sunday brunch, though. i could tell that the buffet was recycled, and it was super expensive – definitely not worth the price.

What I ate:

not too many breakfast items offered, and the food is just so-so. i wouldn’t recommend coming here for sunday brunch.

Swanky lounge-like environment: hidden gem in lake forest

The clientele ranges from rich old people to early 30’s business people. It is a great place for a date and the prices are moderate in expense.
The cuisine is american traditional with steak, ribs, pork chops, and good pasta.
They have live piano music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

What I ate:
  • ***

Very messy, the sauce is unique with a bit of tangy kick. Not my favorite.

  • ****

Very tasty and well done. My date ended up eating some of mine :)
