Since Richard Blaise was picked up as the chef, this place has gone up from 4 stars to 5 stars in my book. Some of the staples (steak with pomme frites) are still on the menu, but Richard is known for his creativity (watch the battle he had with Mario on Iron Chef one day) and he pulls it off at this chic location in midtown. It’s a packed house in here all of the time, but it is worth the wait (even with a reservation). The tables are too close together, but that’s my only complaint.

They have a great wine selection, and you can choose a bottom-less glass if you are up to the challenge. The martini bar is great too. The calamari is above average, I tried my friend’s fish dish (multiple types of seafood in a broth), and I even had a cold BBQ dish with mustard ice-cream that was pulled off nicely. It’s not too expensive either.
