From the Restaurant
Nestled on a side street between the Theater District and Downtown Crossing in the heart of Boston, MANTRA combines all that one hopes to find in big city dining: superb service, sophisticated decor and unique cuisine. In fact, MANTRA is the only restaurant in Boston serving French cuisine with Indian accents, and its is also the only restaurant located in a historic, circa 1800 bank. Our bar, in fact, is a former teller's cage. And details like Italian marble walls and floors, coupled with such modern elements as lasered mirrors, halogen lights and saffron-colored silk drapery, combine to make "one of the most significant interior spaces in Boston in a decade" according to The Boston Globe. Executive Chef Yadwinder (Jerry) Pabla oversees a talented team of cooks, sauciers and bread bakers, and our highly experienced managers, sommeliers and servers ensure business or social dining of the highest caliber. Discover the mystique, intrigue and exotic sensuality of MANTRA
