Keeping it Real(ly Touch-and-Go)

Tips:

1. The really interesting corn-and-onion bread they bring to your table is great to stupidly fill up on.

2. Get a freshly-made, cheap vegetable juice.

3. Beware: the service is good, but leisurely.

What I ate:
  • *****

Oh my gaw. You’ll eat better dishes after this, but not for a long, long time. The meat is fall-apart soft and the gravy is exxxquisite.

  • *****

Resoundingly rich with a really nice salt & pepper aftertaste.

  • *

Watery, almost flavorless. How does a Southern restaurant mess up collard greens?

  • *

Uninspired and so so so bland. Don’t order it – there are plenty of other vegetarian options.

  • ***

Hey, it was exactly what you’d expect upon hearing the name – it was a brownie with nuts in a pie. I’d have liked it to have been a little more gooey & fudgey. I’d have given it two stars; my partner in crime said four.

gotta love the soul food

i’ve been to wishbone a few times for brunch, and i have yet to be disappointed. the portions are enormous, the menu is electic, and the food is delicious! the atmosphere is on the loud side, making for a boisterous start to anyone’s morning. i’d gladly go back to the wishbone, despite the often long wait during the weekend rush and spotty service. (i hear oprah likes to eat here too!)
