Exquisite
Exquisite is the word to describe the Peter Shields Inn. Along Beach Drive on the north end of the island, the Peter Shields offers an elegant experience in both cuisine and atmosphere.
This is a B&B. I’ve never stayed there, but have eaten here. In the old days there was a pub in the basement, but I believe that is no longer the case.
There is nothing inexpensive about dining here. The minimum price per person as required is $24. A normal dinner will run one $50 or more.
The menu rotates by the season. As with all Cape May restaurants, seafood is heavily represented here. The plates are gorgeous when placed on the table. I have had wonderful flounder and lamb dishes here over the years.
The Peter Shields Inn is a treat and one that will please even the most discriminating of palates.
