Good food, friendly service, but pricy

Stopped in very quickly on Sunday afternoon very early. Good food with very friendly service. No one was in the 14 table, 28 seat restaurant when we got there at 5:30, but it was just about full when we left by 6:30. The service was good and they had an interesting selection of meals with some authentic ingredients, including:
-Academia Barilla
-Prosciuto di Parma
-Parmigiano Reggiano
-100% Italiano Extra Virgin Olive Oil

They also have a nice selection on Gelato

What I ate:
  • ****

It was about 14’’, very thin, but good. It comes out piping hot as pizza should. Very traditional.

  • *****

Excellent salad with spinach, dried cranberries, apple, candy walnuts, and goat cheese mixed with caramelized onion-balsamic vinaigrette.

  • ***

Meaty chunks of cheese and tomato’s toped with olive oil. Good, but not great.

  • ****

Penne with Fresh pomodoro, eggplant and basil leaves topped with mozzerella, and baked in the oven. Very solid dish with lots of flavors and a great texture.

  • ****

Very good strawberry gelato with fine choc chunks mixed into it. Good size portions, but expensive.

This tiny Lakeview pizzeria features specialty choices like imported mozzarella di buffala and unique items like sliced potatoes on its pizzas. Good atmosphere and good food, but a little pricey.
