Mushroom Chicken
Beautiful presentation, veggies were cooked crisp and very fresh, the chicken soft and moist, the seasoning was delicate and delicious. The portion size was big enough for two. I can’t find the words to describe how good this dish was

Food and service
Food is tasty, there are many choices. It is very difficult to get a table on the weekends. It is always busy here, hence slow service. Always a great place to come for family dinners.
Since it’s always busy, expect slow service.
I enjoy the string bean dish and san bei ji dish the most.
I think the pricing for this restaurant could be less. Parking is very convenient and never a problem.

Authentic fish!
Eventually i made it! On a weekday night though~
It was not my first experience here, but I do feel this is a better try. Food tasted sweeter and more southern Chinese style, and it came fast with huge portion!
Try fish for sure if u want to savour authentic Chinese fish. The fantastic taste is sth. u can never get from sweet & sour fish fillet. It’s on market price but thinking about the quantity and quality, it definitely worth it!

pickled cabbage chicken
Sauteed sliced chicken with snow peas, bamboo shoots and tofu slice. The sweetness tastes perfect. Just too many to finish!

Always popular, always full
Confucius says: Men who want big, round tables reserve real early.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants around Seattle. Genuine taste and a good variety. No americanized items whatsoever. Supposedly Taiwanese style, but I find quite a few southern style dishes. One of my friends love their 蚂蚁上树 (vermicelli rice noodle with a bit of ground pork in spicy sauce). Very genuine stuff.
I don’t recall anyone ever complain about this place, yet.

wow
I hadn’t been here for a few years and I honestly had forgotten how great the food was. Really tasty dishes, big portions, and compared to restuarants of the same type, really great prices! I don’t think any Chinese place I’ve tried in the area (and that’s many) can beat Yea’s.
What’s very interesting too is that their food and selection are so good that I think they may actually manage to please both the authenticity-seeking Asian crowd as well as diners who are not as familiar with Chinese food.
-
Shanghai ribs
tender meat, tasty sauce, served on top of baby bok choy
-
wonderful tasty chicken
served cold. sort of like a salad. it’s actually quite tasty
-
seabass
topped with minced garlic and other spices. this is one of their specialties. can’t quite remember the name but if you say seabass they will know.
great chinese food, worth the wait! good for large groups!
i echo the other reviewer… i’ve had to wait for a table even on weeknights! but with large parties, the reservations work great—you get these big round tables in the back rooms, so a large party can all sit together and even be able to talk to a good number of people :) i think those big tables seat 10-12 each. and chinese food is great for sharing family-style anyways…

volcano fried rice
this is so great! it’s like fried rice with a “volcano” of stuff on top.. haha that might not sound good, but it really is!
-
general tsou's chicken
everyone loves it! crispy and flavorful :)
-
salt and pepper tofu
great appetizer for sharing!
-
beef with basil
best Chinese food in greater Seattle
Love it! This place rocks. It is a hot spot for Chinese food lovers and is always packed to the hilt. Make reservations for you can – though they only take them if you have 6 or more people. Otherwise be prepared to wait up to an hour or maybe more for dinner, especially on the weekend. They’ll give you a pager while you wait. They’ve got some great dishes here. One downside is the cooks sometimes seem inconsistent. I know they have switched cooks a few times, but generally it is about the same. However sometimes my string bean dish comes out better than other times. I wouldn’t go anywhere else on the Eastside for Chinese food except for maybe three other restaurants.
