The best Italian Food in Des Plaines

What else can you ask for – friendly people, great food, and a comfortable atmosphere. This family-run place resonates warm Italian hospitality with tasty, unique cuisine. The standard lasagna has a layer of polenta – you won’t find that at the Olive Garden! My friends and I joke that it is the “brick o’ lasagna” because it is a huge serving drowning in a great meat pasta sauce.

The soups are made fresh in house daily – at lunch there’s a great soup and salad special for under $6.00 – if you ask, they will even throw a little shrimp or chicken on the salad and you have a complete meal.

I recommend the Chicken Florentine with fresh spinach or any of the fresh fish specials – the chef does a great job with whatever he presents.

Great presentation, tasty, and filling.
Desserts

The desserts are a bit disappointing – nothing made in-house – I wish they’d find a pasty chef – then everything would be top notch!
