It used to be so good...

I took friends and family to Nick’s on Christmas day. It was a disaster!

o The service was very slow (even though we selected the special menu of the day)
o Some of the food was cold (cold steak is not very enjoyable)
o The staff had too many tables to service for the employee load

I suspect all the new development on Lewers Street is going to be the death of Nick’s, especially if they don’t get their act together.

They used to be “the” place to go in Waikiki. How times change…

food is mediocre for the price.

the vanbana pie is very good. its like a banana/icecream thing w/ a ritz cracker crust, so it’s sweet and salty at the same time.

atmosphere is really nice if you’re on a hot date.

and the purple haze martini is really really good too.
