This is a tiny little restaurant hidden in a basement like room off of Nassau St. The decor definitely needs some work, but the staff was very friendly, and the place is actually owned and ran by Japanese people, which is a rarity in central NJ. Their lunch specials are not too pricey (for Princeton), the sushi is very good for anything near this area.
The eel had great flavor, and the rice was very well cooked as well. The portions were pretty big compared to most good japanese places.
The salmon sushi and sashimi here is reeeally good and fresh— melts in your mouth!

I like to say that if I die and go to heaven and they don’t serve Ajihei spicy salmon roll there – I am coming right back!
This is the best sushi in Princeton even though, sadly, Ajihei does offer the worst service in town. But the sushi is so good I will continue to put up with all the attitude and rules (a long list pasted right at the entrance), even though the long wait for the food (over one hour last week) does make me go there less often than I used to.
