A satisfying lunch

After heading to Jasmine Restaurant for lunch with a friend and finding it closed, I turned back and gave King and I a try (I noticed it as I passed by on the way to Jasmine).

I was happy (but not surprised) to discover a short lunch combo menu where your dish of choice comes with Pad Thai and soup of the day. (Who can ever choose between Pad Thai and Curry?!) Both the Curry and the Pad Thai were above average and I was not dissappointed. As someone who prefers food to be mild, sometimes even “one star” is too spicy for me to enjoy the flavors of the dish. Not here — the food (at one star) had enough spice to give a little zing in my mouth, but no so much that I had to drench my mouth with water.

Service was not “in your face” but not slow either. Decor was very attractive. The dining room is fairly small and fills up for lunch — Arrive early to avoid a wait.

I’ll definitely be coming back.

What I ate:
  • ****

Red Curry is served in a cup next to a healthy scoop of rice. It is very tasty.

Comes with a serving of Pad Thai which was also quite good.

Prime it

The place is usually quite packed and parking is a little tight. The food is alright with prime card.

I’d recommend going there for lunch if you are around. Their lunch combo includes a small soup, pad thai and side dishes like curry.

Not king yet

This place is a little over-priced — food always comes with huge plate with okay taste. Even if it tries to target high-end Thai food, home-style might enjoyed more popularity in this neighborhood.

What I ate:
  • ***

Baked Chicken with bone. The portion is so big that make sure there are enough ppl on the table first, then order.

  • ***

Sliced salmon& veggie in curry sauce. I’ve had better curry salmon than this, so I’m leaning towards salmon with whole thing cooked.
