I like Italian food as much as the next person. Who doesn’t love lasagna or penne vodka? Andrea’s takes it up a notch when it comes top serve incredible Italian dishes and it has to do with the fresh ingredients that are used every day. This restaurant is of the highest quality and serves amazing Northern Italian and American dishes. The seafood selection is equally impressive.
The menu selection will make anyone’s mouth salivate by just reading the descriptions. When the food arrives then you realize just how much better it actually tastes.
There is a great selection of cold and hot appetizers. I absolutely love Cozze Marinara O Mugnaia with mussels served in a light tomato broth. A good cold appetizer that my friend always eats is Salmone Affumicato featuring salmon served with mustard dill sauce. Good homemade soups and salads are also available.
Since New Orleans is renown for good seafood, expect to see a lot of it in these dishes. The ravioli stuffed with crawfish is heavenly. I have never tasted anything like it or anything better. A wonderful dish to also have is the Cioppino Mediterraneo complied of fresh seafood served on linguine. Lots of fish, beef, chicken, veal and lamb dishes are available.
If you have the room, do not pass over the dessert menu. The selection is immense and will have you drooling. I’m always a sucker for good tiramisu but my goal is to one day try every dessert offering on the menu.
The service is impeccable. The employees are very friendly. In fact they all wear tuxedos making the dining experience feel more elegant and important. Definitely do yourself a favor and dine at Andrea’s for any occasion.
Nova Scotia smoked salmon served with mustard dill sauce, toast points, capers & onions. It melts in mouth
Cape mussels steamed in a light tomato broth & fresh spices or light meunier sauce. Incredibly rich in taste and flavor.
Ravioli stuffed with Louisiana crawfish & tossed with bell pepper crawfish sauce. The freshness of the crawfish and the homemade ravioli is the best combination ever.
