1.0This was the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. We went on the 4th of July, as first time visitors to CA. This was the last night of our vacation, and we were looking forward to a nice relaxing seafood dinner, followed by fireworks. NOT! There were so many warning signs that we ignored: a “special” menu for the holiday with limited entrees, notices that there was a $25 minimum per person that day, and a note that the restaurant was not responsible for anyone getting ill from their shellfish…SERIOUSLY??!!!!??. Should have seen the signs, but we were seated anyway. Squeezed in, plastic tableclothes, not what I was expecting for our bill that would evidently be over $100 plus tip for our party of 4. But we ordered: while our meal was to include bread and a vegetable (no salad, and no drink refills), after waiting nearly 30 minutes, we still had no bread. I asked the overworked waitress, who said that bread came with the meal. Not wanting to cause her more problems, we said we’d wait. An hour after placing our orders, one dinner arrived, and it was cold. We waited another 10 minutes, and then were told that they were out of what I had ordered. Are you kidding????!!!! Over an hour after it is ordered, and you just find out now? Being from a family with a history in food service, this was so completely unacceptable, I asked to speak to the owner, just knowing that he too would find this unacceptable and strive to “make things right”. Nothing could be further from the truth! He arrived at our table, took one look at our video camera sitting there (turned off with the lens cap on, as we had been videoing the harbor earlier) and completely FREAKED OUT! He refused to speak to us completely, and stormed off, even though we immediately put the camera away. Needless to say, we were done and left, trying to warn other potential patrons on our way out. This was absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever been to and it needs to be shut down. Without a doubt the owner is paranoid and hiding something…to say nothing of taking advantage of patrons and his (few) workers. Cannot stress enough how bad this place it. PLEASE do NOT go there!!! One star rating is too high for this place!

1.0I recently took my girlfriend and her father to this dive everything here is frozen.. nothing is fresh… portions are tiny and price is 3 times what you would expect to pay. as I read the other reviews I can see that they are from family members or just fraud. If you dine here you will hate yourself. I can assure you they have no repeat customers. when you see the lifeless fishtank as you walk in… ask to see the “fresh” fish and kitchen. I wish I had. Location is all this place has.
the food and drinks are priced like the ritz carlton and taste like Gortons fish sticks. there are lots of reviews of this place, its obvious what this place is… and is not . How they got a “A” grade window sign is beyond me, our arms were stuck to the bar. again Im sorry I have nothing good to say about this dump. As I am even more amazed at the owner(family) written reviews out there, what a shame !!
way small and not fresh either

5.0So I wanted to surprise my boyfriend and had a romantic getaway from the routine… so I took him to the anglers choice a sunday evening , and sat just in front of th emarina, eating with the candle lights on ! he loved it! and his food as well. He had the salmon broiled,, they are so nice that they can do it blackened or charbroiled as well, plus it brings with a side and warm bread. Me, I wanted to go for shrimp so I had the brochette shrimp, it also came with the side and the warm bread, it was just unbelivable!! so yummy! we had some white wine, the meal was perfect. for dessert we each had a piece of cheescake nicely decorated with fanned strawberries! 5 stars to the aNglers! great service too! The price was reasonable with the food and the view!
