go for the crushed garlic/parmesan/olive oil bread dip alone. i barely have room for my entree because i stuff my face with bread. and the tiramasu is the size of your head. everything is very flavorful and the service is great.
italiano for everyone
this is probably one of the first italian restaurants i’ve been to in chi-town where the loud & crowded, homestyle mom ‘n pop atmosphere feels genuine (and not cheesy). this is a very casual place that’s perfect for large parties and/or family gatherings.
the service is quick and attentive. the food variety is extensive and the food itself is tasty. the only thing that would keep me from returning are the prices – molto expensive.

Ravioli Pera alla Giorgio
3.5 stars. super creamy and on the sweet side b/c of the pears. the square ravioli have some grainyness to them b/c of the pear consistency, which adds a little something different. you get a big plate of ravioli, enough to split for 2.
-
Spaghettini al Capriccio di Mare
tomato based sphagetti w/bits of seafood. a nice mix of seafood (clams, mussels, shrimp, etc). not your traditional tomato based sauce, something a bit more pungent/strong.
