Modern atmosphere with fusion food

The atmosphere of this restaurant is exactly what you are looking for in New York City. Trendy, romantics with a bit of edge. Food is good though I would not say fantastic… I guess my expectation runs a bit higher in New York City. If you are looking for some trendy restaurant to hang out with friends, this is the place.

Dishes I tried:

I forgot the name of the dish, but this is a roast beef dish. It tastes good!

I remember we ordered 2 different salads for our table and both of them are delicious!

We order a jar which is good enough for everyone to have a try on the table (~10 people). Not bad!

If you love chocolate and hazelnuts, this is the dessert for you. Don’t say I did not warn you, this is big enough for a table of 10!!! (that’s why it is named for PIGS!)

Always worth it

Not as great an ambiance as LA, but had a wonderful dinner here. Waitress was the only deterrent – it was difficult for her to bother to serve us at times. However, the food as usual made up for it.

Dishes I tried:

Coconut Layer Cake

This is hands down one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. A wonderful light layer cake with just enough milk to make it meaningful, plus an amazing, not-too-sweet coconut icing.

Calamari Salad

An amazing plethora of flavors. I could have eaten the whole thing alone – who thought banana, heart of palm and calamari work? Well, they do!

Asian Pesto Grilled Shrimp

This was not worth the order. Too generic. Yes, it was grilled, and yes it had some pesto on it. But I was not delighted.

Cuban BBQ Chicken

Wonderful flavor and just fell off of bone. Melted in my mouth. This was divine.

Palomillo of Marinated Lamb

The peppers and eggplant tarnished the flavor of the lamb. I was terribly disappointed.

Lobster-boniato Mash

I am pretty sure I hoarded this from my dining companions and ate as much as I could before the waiter pried the bowl from my hands. The cream-laden potatoes just marry perfectly to the little langostino lobster, which is bountiful inside!
