The restaurant serves Japanese cuisine buffet style. The set up is really nice. You can either enter from the street or from the parking garage. At the entrance, the host/hostess will take you to your seat and ask for your order on drinks. From there, you are free to serve yourself.
There are 5 stations: Rolls, Main course, Tempura, Salad, and Dessert
Rolls is where you choose your sushi and sashimi. There is a large variety there, but if you don’t like what you see, you can order customized rolls. I don’t really care for sushi or sashimi so I did not try anything from this station.
Main course is where you would pick up your rice, noodles, and meat dishes like ribs, chicken, fish, and beef. The steamed rice is cooked perfectly, not too sticky and not too dry. I then had the miso soup. Definitley must have. It is a perfect blend of tofu, seaweed, water and seasonings. I only tried the fish. They had salmon and mahimahi. The salmon was a little dry and the mahimahi was too spicy for me (but I don’t like spicy, so spicy lovers might like it.)
At the tempura station, they had temupra shrimp and oysters. They also had roast beef and pork there too. The tempura comes with the traditional tempura sauce, or you can have tartar sauce. The roast beef and pork came with a dark mushroom gravy. I had the gravy on my rice, it was good.
My favorite station was the salad station. There was a variety of fresh greens and garden vegetables for you to create your own salad. They also had crab legs, oysters, and fruits. You are limited to only three salad dressings though.
The desserts station is by far the cutest. They have a variety of pies and cakes cut into tiny pieces that can be picked up with chopsticks.
My only advise regarding the entire restaurant is to make sure you read the little signs above each selection, that way you won’t be surprised by things like tofu cheesecake.
