Excellent Korean Food with lots of selection
Do you want BBQ? Bi bim bap? Tofu soup? Stew? This place has it all. Not only that, Sahnmaru offers 10 side dishes with whatever you order. That’s an insane selection. My only complaint is that the tofu soup doesn’t come with a raw egg and you must ask for one.
Overall, the environment is nice and the food is definitely amongst the best Korean places I’ve been to.
If you do want to specialize in BBQ, do go across the street for Koryo, but if you want some other stuff like fish, tofu, soup, rice, and great side dishes, do come to Sahnmaru. You can’t go wrong with either restaurant.
I almost forgot that your meal is topped off with the dessert which is excellent, so be sure to save some room!

Seafood & Beef Tofu
The seafood adds a new texture and taste to the tofu soup, and I feel it is the perfect match with some beef inside. I enjoy how the tofu soup incorporates some squash.
-
Original Beef Tofu & Beef Ribs Combo
This is a pretty large meal, and if you get a second bowl of rice, it’s going to be way too filling.

Kalbi
A little pricey for beef short ribs, but I have to say it’s delicious!

The outside of the restaurant is a little dilapidated, but I prefer the food to the looks of a restaurant anyways.
The portions are enormous! This is the first non-BBQ Korean place I’ve been to and the food was amazing. I had the Jajangmyeon, and the noodles were hot and chewy just the way I love them. And the black bean sauce coating it was excellent. Unfortunately, all of our dishes were a little oily. Not a bad place at all!
