From the Restaurant
BF&D’s menu is equal parts compilation & creation: featuring an evolving selection of New York’s finest artisanal products sourced from the five boroughs as well as fresh meats & produce from greater New York State. Classic New York ingredients & recipes have been re-imagined by one of New York’s most innovative culinary talents, concept co-creator & contributing chef, Zak Pelaccio. Designer, Mark Zeff of Zeff Design, incorporates reclaimed woods & materials salvaged from underwater piers, mushroom-growing barns, old factories & storefronts. Vintage industrial furniture, lighting & accessories create a convivial & unpretentious environment where locals, friends & neighbors can gather to share a meal, shoot some pool, throw some darts or take advantage of the complimentary Wi-Fi service. To check out what’s happening at your favorite hotspots, visit www.chinagrillmgt.com/thehookup.cfm

The curse of this spot hasn't been lifted....
The curse of this spot hasn’t been lifted. Idea is nice but something’s missing.
Food: not bad but unmemorable. ummm what did I eat?
Staff: nice and more attentive than most reviews made it sound.
Ambiance: The lights are too bright. They should tone it down so it looks more like the website photos. Warmer.
It’s a good place to take out of towners for a crash course in the food from the five boroughs. Not for NYers.
