Really Good Indian Food
We eat here all the time, and really enjoy the food. The portions can be small, but the quality is always good. Bindlemom needs to understand that many of the waiters have a minimal command of English and she needs to be a little more sensitive. If her son has food allergies, they should eat at home. There are always hidden ingredients in Indian food, even if you ask all the right questions. Chefs have secrets.

Rude waitstaff, insensitive to food allegy sufferers
I took my teenaged son who has a severe food allergy to lunch at Star of India. When we inquired about ingredients, the waiter was very rude. He acted like we were really bothering him, though we were the only people in the place, and we were very polite. My son ended up accidentally eating something he reacted to, and is now spending his vacation on Prednisone and Benadryl.
I will never eat there again, and will cross the street to avoid it, if possible!-
curried chicken, white rice and peppers with red food coloring, which caused an allergy problem
The waiter was extremely rude, and my son accidentally ate something he was allergic to. The waiter was very slow to provide us with ingredients, even tough my son has a life-threatening food allergy. This was not a bad experience, it was downright scary!
