cute casual thai
3.5 stars. as a newcomer to the usc area, i was on the search for something satisfying to eat for dinner w/o a map and just my car. i stumbled upon tongdang, a casual (but still nice) thai restaurant. as soon as i sat down, it seemed that customers were popping in every 5 min to pick up carry-out orders…so i took that as a good sign.
painted in bright reds and yellows and decorated with large beautiful pieces of thai artwork, tongdang is a nice enough place to have dinner w/family, but casual enough to go w/friends also. i’d definitely consider returning for another quick, casual meal. maybe see if they have lunch specials!

3.5 stars. a pretty good deal for someone coming from chicago thai prices. i got to take my leftovers home for half of next day’s dinner. the noodles didn’t taste super fresh, but the overall taste wasn’t bad. would i order it again? yeah, probably…i like noodles too much to not.
