Oh how I love thee, Soy Crepes. One of the few vegetarian restaurants in my area. No meat will be found here (and yes that includes fish, because the last time I checked, fish was not in the bread, dairy, or vegetable group).

There is a large chart that lets you know which meals are vegan and the fat, calories, and fiber in each meal. The meal include rice (brown rice available for an extra $1), two side salads and a copious amount of raw shredded cabbage. There are three or four different side salads and you never really know what you are going to get. But I absolutely love and crave the bean sprout salad and always request that one of my salads be the sprout salad. There is also a cucumber, carrot, or cabbage salad. Each with its own dressing and distinct flavor.

Soy Crepes are my favorite main dish with cooked cabbage, mushrooms, carrots wrapped in a tofu skin and drizzled with a wonderful sauce. But when I want a meal with a lower fat count, I opt for the Imperial Veggie Rolls or Cabbage Rolls.

For the veggiephobes you may have to drag there, I recomend the Veggie Balls. My friend’s son, who only eats junk food, loved these and thought they were fish sticks. My boyfriend who only liked meat and grease enjoyed the Potato pockets. They have cheese, so how can you go wrong.

I have tried almost every dish they have and have rarely been disappointed. The banana almonds seem to be a favorite with the regulars, but I actually didn’t care for them. I seem to be in the minority here, though, so maybe you would want to try them. I would never bother with the steamed vegetables dish. We can all do that at home. For a splurge, the Abalone Mushrooms are to die for. The meat lovers at my work even love them and are amazed at their meaty texture.

Often they will give you a free cup of tofu vegetable soup while you wait for your meal.

Damn, now I may have to make a trip to Veggie & Tea house tonight.

cooked cabbage, mushrooms, carrots wrapped in a tofu skin and drizzled with a wonderful sauce.

Okay, so not the lowest fat item on the menu, but it is a real treat. Deep fried in some sort of batter. Tastes very meaty. The non-vegetarians love them.

Supposedly one of their best selling items. I ordered it only to find the man at the next table ordered the last one. He loved them so much he let ME have the last banana almond, so i could try it. Meh. I lied and told him i loved it though. Some veggies and banana wrapped in a skin tht is coated with sliced almonds. Did nothing for me.

Broccoli, bell pepper, carrots wrapped in a potato coating sprinkled with panko or something and fried. Another one that of course is delish cuz its fried. But you can drag carnivores in here and they will like this dish. And kids love it also.

Now this is a good very low fat one. Green cabbage, mushrooms, green onions, carrots, bean sprouts, and glazed peanuts wrapped in a rice skin and steamed. Very light and refreshing while also filling.

healthy and delicious

I love the food here. When I eat here I feel healthy. They offer brown rice if you prefer it over white. There are 4 sides to choose from and you get 2 with each dish. The food is fresh and delicious.
