The only thing thing that prevents me from...

The only thing thing that prevents me from giving it all full five stars is the service. But hey, when do you ever get good service at a Korean restaurant. I’m not asking a question. The food is excellent and they’ve got combination dishes in case you can’t decide between their tasty BBQs or bubbling hot tofu soups that are really top notch. If that’s not enough, their open 24 hours a day! It’s busy at all hours so be prepared to wait a bit, but when it comes to Korean tofu soup, there is no place better.

Wonderful all-night food!

This is a great all-night destination. Food is consistently good, simple, and well-priced. Expect decent portions, plenty of “little sides,” and good tasting food that fills you up at a good price!

$ – cheap eats

a comforting, but busy 24-hour soondoobu (soft tofu) shop that really hits the spot late at night, for dinner…whenever! like any korean restaurant i’ve been to, they serve side dishes, as well as miso soup and fish. the tofu was very soft and spicy but not unbearable. compared to yechon’s soondoobu, the tofu was silkier and the sauce seemed bolder. i was definitely stuffed, and the total didn’t even scratch $10.

i’ve only been to the koreatown location; i’ve been told that the other locations aren’t as good. i’m still looking for a great soondoobu place in the d.c. area, so if anyone knows, please pass the word!

This is THE BEST Tofu House in CA

I’m surprised. SGD Tofu on San Jose has 5 reviews but BCD only has 1? This is the best tofu house I’ve ever eaten at. I’ve driven down El Camino Ave. in San Jose to test out different tofu houses. I’ve been to Korea. I’ve been down to Korea Town in LA to try places out too, and BCD by far offers the best meal.

Soondubu is meant to be eaten with side dishes. I was impressed that BCD offered fish with their tofu, something Koreans say should be included. Moreoever, all the side dishes you get just makes the experience even better.

For the same price, you can go eat soondubu elsewhere and you won’t be getting the quality and quantity that BCD offers. You can even argue that soondubu is almost the same wherever you go, but only the silkiest tofu should be used in such a dish, and once again BCD offers that. The dumpling tofu soups are signature to the restaurant, and any diner should definitely try them out. There’s always your classic soondubu, but you can see on the menu that there are a variety of different ones offered. Each store location has its signature soondubu.

There’s a reason its open 24 hours a day and people from the Bay Area speak of this place and how godly it is.

Chain Soon Tofu Restaurant

BCD is a well-known chain soon tofu restaurant. The soondoobu is ok but nothing spectacular. And similar to other Korean restaurants service is lacking.

What I ate:

    It wasn’t spicy enough and I didn’t even taste the cheese.
