extra sweet dim sum

Tin’s is a sweet dim sum place. And by sweet, I mean that their food is actually sweeter than usual dim sum. I am guessing this is done to cater more to the non-Asian customers since I noticed that many customers were in fact, not Chinese.

The restaurant itself is very nice and well decorated. It has paintings, structures, and has a nice atmosphere to it. The service was alright in my opinion. When we asked for something, they generally responded fairly quickly. The dim sum here was all solid. I have had better egg custard tarts, and barbequed pork buns, but that shouldn’t detract that much from this place. It is all delicious, and some of it has a different taste than usual dim sum, which is somewhat refreshing. If you like sweeter dim sum, then this is a good place to check out.

What I ate:
  • ***

Comes with four petite custards. It was good and fairly addicting, but there was way too much tart compared to custard. Plus, the tart was super buttery.

  • ***

They were also kinda small compared to others I have had.

  • ****

It was crispy and very good. It came with a sweet sauce (oyster? can’t remember) that complemented it very well.

  • ****

It didn’t come with a lot since it was dim sum portions. Crispy, saucy, and still worth getting though.
