Forget the Breakfast Burrito! Go to Flapjack's!
I gotta admit, I am a die-hard Walker Brothers fan but this place comes close to home. I passed by Flapjack’s countless times on Dempster always thinking “it looks old.” So it didn’t have much of an appeal to me, until someone suggested it. Inside, it’s like any other good old American breakfast joint – friendly service, clean, and neat. The chairs with wheels give the tables an entertaining spin – haha. But really, I was absolutely taken aback by how yummy my TACO skillet turned out to be.
Yes, taco skillet is literally a small skillet sized meal of potatoes, green peppers, onions, cheese, and taco meat topped with eggs (I got them over-easy) and comes with a side of 4 buttermilk pancakes (mm mm good). I was a little skeptical at my friend’s recommendation to get this dish, but oh my, I had no idea taco meat could taste so good outside its shell.
I still love Walker Brother pancakes by no means, but I can definitely do breakfast at Flapjack’s again.
They have a pretty extensive menu so I’m bound to find something great for sure!
I keep forgetting to put this but I came here for “fun with friends” :) , spent between $10-15, and tipped 20%+.

Taco Skillet
yummmmmmm – see above.

Raspberry Crepes
Shared this with a friend. It was a little mushier than I’m used to – I think it was the raspberry sauce and whipped cream combination that we had left sitting for a bit while stuffing ourselves with the taco skillet. I’d try a different line of breakfast foods before going to crepes though.
