Prix Fixe Wine Dinner is one of the best values in the City!
I had a large group dinner planned (20 people) and Cite was able to accommodate us with not a mention of difficulty or derision. The prix fixe wine dinner is a super value based on just alcohol alone. You get a 3-course meal along with ALL THE WINE YOU CAN DRINK!!!
The wines are preselected but if you’re going for the all-you-can-drink wine, this is one of those times where quantity may overshadow quality. Bottomless champagne flutes, two types of red wine and one Chardonnay, your glasses will literally never be empty as the staff is right on top of things.
You can literally drink your fill of that $69 price tag and then you also get a 3-course meal. It’s like the steak is free! Okay, $69 is a bit of a steep price to pay but considering that it’s all you can drink and you’re having steak that actually has taste and isn’t what you’d find on the Rio Hotel buffet line, count yourself lucky.
-
Steak Tartare with classic accompaniments
Very healthy sized portion of steak tartare. The accompaniments were chives, sea salt, jalapeno, raw egg and black pepper.
-
Dry-Aged Rib Steak
Note: If you order this as part of the prix fixe, you don’t get any sides.
-
Floating Island (Baked Meringue with Vanilla Custard Sauce)
Awesomely light dessert which was the perfect accompaniment after some pretty heavy first and second courses.
