From the Restaurant
RNM is a sexy "neighborhood joint" in the lower haight that serves small and large plates of creative california fare with french and italian twists. Opened in 2002 by chef and owner Justine Miner it has a sleek urban decor with an upstairs lounge and a great prix fixe menu every evening from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.

Fantastic steak; duck wasn’t at all game-y; surprisingly great desserts. 3 of us arrived early, but without reservations. We sat at the bar: bartender very cute and friendly, great service = ordering one too many cocktails. They were showing The Princess Bride on their behind-the-bar flatscreen, which is a bit weird but never a bad thing.
Good wilted romaine, duck confit, pork chop
I loved the duck confit I ordered, just the right amount of crispy and juicy. The ricotta gnocchi it was served with could definitely have been lighter, meltier, but my husband like them. He had a pork chop which was delicious, and we started with the wilted romaine salad with St. Augur cheese and pink lady apples, yum. And good charcuterie.
