Westside interior designer Lori Erenberg (La Brea Bakery ) has crafted its modern supper club atmosphere, with banquettes and table seating in rich, dark woods, mohair and iridescent silk fabrics. An eclectic and impressive list of beer, wines and sakes compliment dishes that include ginger and coriander shrimp; miso black cod; scrambled eggs with black truffle and uni; and rib eye steak with roasted pee wee potato, zucchini blossom and foie gras. The scrambled egg with sea urchin and truffles is a break...
The scrambled egg with sea urchin and truffles is a breakfast/brunch fantasy…yummy. Duck egg and frisee salad is near perfection. The waitstaff is friendly and exceptionally well-informed — the waitress, on cue, gave a masterful dissertation about the components of the cheese plate like an experienced cheese monger. The sommelier also deserves special mention after recommending a perfect Alsatian white (even though he and every bachelor in Alsace unsuccessfully gave suit to the vinter’s daughter).
