More photos on rolls...

My favorite roll is still the Ichi roll… Apart from the usual orders of seared toro, seared scallop, unagi, my friend and I decided to try the Ginger beef roll out, and to my surprise it’s very tasty.

My follow-up review for this restaurant. Read my previous review for this restaurant here

What I ate:
  • Blomdsonyr3ijgaby-gaa880x80
    *****

A martini with flavour, not like bellevue Joey’s where they used a starfruit as garnish, which I still did not understand how you could use a different fruit as garnish….

  • Bwtyheonyr3lsgaby-gaa880x80
    *****

    Tasty, sweet, and filling…

weekly sushi...

I come here weekly and love it. It may not be as tasty as nishino or other japanese restaurants around, however you pretty much pay for what you get. I love the variety choice of sushi rolls and the friendly service. Like other I love sushi restaurants, pretty much everything tastes more or less the same. The interior decor is slightly different from the older I love Sushi restaurant around the corner. It’s got more of a theme to it than the older one which is rather blend…

Tasty food and nice service

I visited I Love Sushi for a quick lunch and was really impressed with the quick and friendly greeting (from the host, the two waitresses making rounds, and the entire set of chefs behind the sushi bar). I had barely sat down when I was given a hot mug of tasty green tea and a small crispy salad. For this meal, I just had a couple of rolls, but I’ll be back—I watched the chef make sushi combo B for a couple of people next to me, and that’s definitely on the menu for next time.

What I ate:
  • ****

Broiled eel, shrimp, and avocado. This is a little sweet and savory at the same time. Really tasty.

  • *****

(I can’t remember if that’s the right name. Think so.) This is a great roll: Perfect pieces of salmon, tuna, and yellowtail, with a bit of spicy sauce. The mix of textures and flavors in this roll is really oustanding, and the presentation is great, too: Dabs of three different-colored roe on top. I only regret that I made a mess of eating it and probably embarrassed myself.

yum yum sushi in my tum

I came here based on the previous user’s review with a fellow foodie, and I have to say, we did not come away disappointed! The prices were a tad on the expensive side, but mostly reasonable for good sushi. The one complaint I have about this place is that it’s pretty hard to find—the directions from Google maps are WRONG! You can’t ever turn on 118th st, and when you turn onto Lake Bellevue street, it’s not actually a street, it’s like a parking lot in between a Mercedes and Porsche dealership. Take my word, if you don’t know your way around the area, call the restaurant first and ask them for directions.

Now, for the food… I only had sushi here, but there were TONS of things on the menu that looked absolutely delicious—I fully plan on coming back sometime in my next 3 days in Bellevue.

What I ate:
  • ***

A little thick to me—almost like a green tea cheesecake in texture, but not in flavor. I would have preferred it to be a little lighter.

  • *****

Perfect in flavor… i wish the piece had been a little larger though!

  • *****
  • **

I was disappointed with their uni. :( It had that weird bitterness of bad uni.

  • *****

yummy! tempura lobster and cucumber topped with avocado, with a creamy jalapeno sauce!

    ****

Really good. A little too much vodka for me, but most people will probably like it.

Best sushi in Seattle

I’ve had all kinds of Japanese food – i’m 100% Japanese fom Japan so take my word. Sushi is becoming more and more popular around here these days, but my favorite is definitely I Love Sushi. They have several locations, but make sure you go to the one on Lake Bellevue – it’s their newest restaurant and the interior is very classy, yet modern and welcoming. They provide a better experience yet the price is about the same as their other older locations. The sushi chefs and staff are extremely friendly, they have many more options besides sushi (appetizers, salads, hot dishes, meat dishes, mouthwatering desserts, etc), and although it’s definitely not cheap, it’s very reasonable for what you’re getting and a lot less than some of the other sushi restaurants in the area. Try everything, it’s all delicious!
