where locals eat in Boston Chinatown

This is a great find in Chinatown. This is a Taiwanese restaurant with a great variety of tasty dishes to sample. The best part is how cheap it is, and you’re served pretty quickly. For two of us at lunch we ate for $15 and had leftovers to take home. Their menu was pretty big so I want to come back and try some more things, but everything I had was very good.

Lots of locals eating here – you can tell from the atmosphere inside. The restaurant does good business. Check this place out if you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Boston Chinatown.

What I ate:
  • ****

a staple at taiwanese restaurants but i still really enjoy this dish – and for 2.50 you can’t beat it

  • ***

a bit greasy – but that’s normal for this dish.

  • ****

steamed buns with pork inside – good appetizer choice

Extras:

One of my favorite restaurants as it serves a really yummy eggplant basil dish (which has been cited by the two other reviewers) and other yummy veggie dishes. Sorry meat lovers- not qualified to comment on their carnivorous dishes, but from going with non-veg friends and watching other diners, pretty sure that those dishes are tasty too! Prices are decent but it does get crowded easily! Also, you have to pass some some stinky sections of C-town.

terrifically cheap and good portions. I echo JustineC’s comments re: eggplant with basil, which is phenomenal and a must try. Also try the julienne beef with longhorn pepper, braised pork chop, and any of the noodle soups.

Decent prices, and really good Chinese food! They also have some suprising dishes like eggplant with basil…amazing ^^ The staff is super friendly too. Often gets quite crowded though, especially during Chinese holidays.
