good food, bad atmosphere
Ate here on a celebratory occasion, but, man, this place doesn’t feel very celebratory.
It was pretty empty on a Saturday night. Even though the local paper had said there would be live music, the waitress said they hadn’t done this for a long time and needed to get around to telling the paper this. Staff was lukewarm and it just felt kind of old and stuffy.
Now, that said, the food is really good. And they have a great martini menu. I had the duck and my husband had the surf and turf and was happily surprised by the amount of steak he got. The flourless chocolate cake was the best I’ve had.
This was the most expensive meal we’ve ever had in Bangor and although the food was top notch, I don’t think I’d go back. For that price, I want atmosphere and friendly service as well as good food.

Not what we expected
Had diner here the other night. The place was practically empty except for one other table. Was not impressed with the diningroom. It seemed cold and not at all intimate. Our hostess was also our server. We found her about as cold as the place. The food was good and the chef came out and was friendly
