The "Best Restaurant in Boston" is in Cambridge! Just slightly off the beaten path from Harvard Sq., Craigie Street Bistrot is a tiny restaurant that has earned national acclaim - it won Boston Magazine's "Best of Boston Award" for "Best Restaurant - General Excellence". Chef Tony Maws won "Best Chef" as well as being named to the Food and Wine Magazine "Hall of Fame". He combines his love of the Parisian bistrots modernes with an unyielding passion for the best local, seasonal, and organic ingredients and lesser-known, value-for-money estate-bottled wines. Our menu changes daily, depending on which ingredients are the best of the best that very day. Our restaurant is tiny compared to others, but we like it that way. We hope that your visit will feel like a dinner party in a cozy, comfortable home with close friends. I can't love this place more. The atmosphere is laid-bac...
I can’t love this place more. The atmosphere is laid-back, yet classy. The wait staff are attentive without being obtrusive, and knowledgeable without being elitist. i.e. The wait staff wear jeans, but know the wine list by heart, and don’t push the most expensive choices if you give them a budget range. The chef’s philosophy of seasonal, locally-grown, organic-if-possible food is admirable. And amazingly delicious. I’d eat here all the time if I could afford it.
