this is sushi?
tucked on a side street of highland park, maru is super easy to miss, but being one of the few sushi joints in the ’burbs, i managed to find it and gave it a try w/a group of friends.
the decor of the restaurant is clean, modern, and japanese-y…i walked in and got the distinct feeling that i might be eating some finely-made sushi.
BUT (and that’s a BIG but), i was sorely disappointed by the poorly made, mediocre rolls. adding injury to insult, the prices are $$$$.
needless to say, i will never be returning here.
