Sexy, delicious and unique — three words I’d use to describe Jessica Alba. But, hey, they also apply to Taza.
They’re not your normal cuban tapas kinda place. They have yummy dishes here that I have not found elsewhere. Be prepared to try uniquely marinated meat with special sauces or tasty spices placed upon vegetables.
I’d give it 5 stars, except for one thing: they used to be located in a secret location in a different part of Oakland. Their old home had much more charm. You really felt like you were going to a neighborhood restaurant that few knew about (and you didn’t want to let anybody else know). Their new location seats more people but doesn’t feel as intimate. They still have dancers (eg, flamenco) which is great.
Taza is also on the pricier side, so I’d save this place for special occasions.
