4.0My son has developed an affinity for taylor ham, egg and cheese on a plain bagel, all thanks to Bagel Express. This place is still commanding long lines in the morning for fresh bagels and sandwiches. It’s even more popular on the weekends with the line pouring out the door.
The first thing I noticed was the increase in price. This is to be expected but it isn’t as extravagant as other places I have seen. Because it is extremely busy there are many employees ready to help. Of course they can only do so much despite the number of bodies they have behind the counter. This, of course, can be frustrating to customers who assume that more bodies mean faster service.
The bagels really are baked fresh on the premises. You can actually see them making them as they take them out of the huge oven. My son is still fascinated by this process so it helps pass the time while he is waiting for his food. I’ve been trying out the various sandwiches that they have and seeing if they are worth the price. So far I’ve enjoyed what I have ordered. My wife delves onto the chicken salad that is available as well as the fresh fruit.
The place is upgraded it’s seating area with new tables and chairs. It looks more uniformed and inviting than the makeshift patchwork that was previously there.
Bagel Express still delivers on good taste. I know many who are not pleased with the customer service but so far I haven’t had any problems. Just make sure that they know exactly what you want because the communication can sometimes get lost in the translation amongst all the hub.

1.0Summary: Not worth the owner’s disrespectful attitude. Pros – fresh bagels; moderately prompt service at off hours (I’ve never been there at rush hour); coffee is usually fresh. Cons – Price. Service from counter guys is okay so long as your order is simple; English is a (distant) second language. The same Boars Head sliced meats that you can get everywhere else — so nothing special. Avoid dealing with the owner. Comments – It’s a bagel & sandwich shop; you can get pretty much the same stuff from a far nicer joint right across the street at “Angie’s Gourmet Deli & Catering”. Also — I’m not in favour of exploiting illegals, of which this place appears to be totally staffed. Also avoid the owner who is often floating around behind the counter; talk about “an angry man”! . This guy gets into it regularly at some hapless customer over whatever peeve he has that day. In fact the owner is such a negative that I don’t bother going there any more.

4.0A great way to begin the morning is stopping at Bagel Express. It’s a small bagel/deli shop but it’s very popular by the size of the crowd all the time. It’s a good thing there are more than five or six workers helping people at all times. I love how the bagels are made fresh every day. You can see them make it as well as they make the dough right in front of you. Any sandwich is plentiful and hearty. I always like my sausage and egg on a bagel to start of my day with a good cup of vanilla coffee. The price for breakfast is great. The average price for a good sandwich is around $6-$7. I love coming here when I can to start off my day before work.

3.0A crowded bagel place means it has to be good. Bagel Express looked like it was one of those places. The bagels are made fresh on the premises that has a delectable aroma when you first take a whiff of it when it comes out of the oven. The variety is plentiful with people buying by the dozens before heading off the work. It’s a wonderful feeling having such warm bagels ready to be consumed.
My husband really enjoys the taylor ham, egg and cheese and now my young son does as well. They did a good job in preparing it they way they like it. Coffee is a popular way to complete the visit and I find myself indulging n a large every time I order something.
Bagel Express is a good sized store front but it has that comfortable and family feel to it with some tables for eating. They line goes out the door in the morning and I can see why. I just wish the service was faster because I felt like I was waiting longer than I should.

2.0Stopped for a breakfast bagel at this place. Wasn’t too impressed with the service. The staff was overload and couldn’t even keep a simple order straight at all. I ordered cream cheese on a plain bagel and got a buttered sesame bagel. How’s was that possible? At least my taylor ham, egg and cheese was done right. The price is a bit more expensive than other places. Don’t think I;’ll come here again even though it is popular.
