This is a storefront restaurant with a bit more than the minimum atmosphere for a comfortable meal. The table settings are nice – with a pot of tea served at lunch. It’s not enough to give a sense of being treated to an exotic experience.
The price for lunch isn’t high or low. Neither is the quality of the food. It’s a bit nicer than the nearby Jai Thai, and the service is better than Buddha Thai. But it seems that Belltown is still lacking a Thai restaurant that’s really worth going to.
What’s really frustrating for me is that none of them will make a spicy dish. Here, I called the day before and again an hour before we went to try and explain that we really wanted to have some Thai-style spicy food. The only place I know to go in Seattle for something hot is still Thai Siam
I have to give 2 stars, since we ordered it extra hot and it arrived hardly spiced and the amount for the price was disappointing. It was at least average in quality, though, with nice, big mushrooms and lemon gress.
This was almost hot when we ordered it extra spicy. The prawns were pretty tasty. There wasn’t a whole lot of food considering the price. Nothing to complain about.
We ordered this extra hot, too and it was only slightly spiced. The chicken in the curry was flavorless – it didn’t taste like chicken. At this price, I suppose it’s what I should expect, but it certainly isn’t what I was hoping for.
