Round Rock Sushi

Here is a unique restaurant. It is very nice for a sushi restaurant in Round Rock. Something you may think would be in a trendy area of Austin, but it is really elegant for the area it is in. The waitstaff is very cordial and friendly. Our waitress was very attentive. I dont quite remember her name, but I am thinking something like Susanne. Anyway, a baby threw his sippy cup and she politelypicked it up, took it to be washed, and filled it back up with juice. i thought that was very nice.

Our food was very tasty. Everything was served in a very timely manner, and we both ordered hot tea and water. She brought us each a cup of tea, and also left a pot to refill. The water glasses never got empty before they were back to refill them.

One of the best things was that every Sunday, they offer 1/2 price food to anyone in “beluga” gear. We bought a hat ($27.00?) and a t-shirt ($22.00), and all of our food was half price! I will surely show up on another Sunday with the t-shirt on and my man with his beluga hat and we will enjoy more great 1/2 price food! Well worth the expensive t-shirt and hat! I see it as a very worthwhile investment! excellent friendly service. i love this place!

Edamame $4.00, I am not sure if you can screw up edamame, but it was very good. cooked al dente, not at all soggy, with just enough sea salt, easy to peel, and very tasty.

Snowcrab/Shrimp/Mushroom and onion baked into an Avocado half. There were skinny slices of lemon that I did not like. Other than that it was quite tasty, a little tangy, but the avocado was a good neutralizer for that.

Roll (8pc) Tuna, flounder, fresh asparagus wrapped with sesame crusted soy paper. Topped with salmon, and Super white tuna. Served on top of a trio of special sauce. I think the sauces are Sriracha, a wasabi mayo, and a spicy orange colored sauce that was probably sriracha and mayo or something to that effect. It was really good. The dish was all fresh, and the super white tuna was melt in your mouth good. I am not sure I like the soy paper better than just the regular seaweed, but it was good anyway. Spicy! I liked it!

Very good! Very basic salmon skin roll. The salmon skin was crispy but not chewy, and not overly salty. I really liked it, even with its simplicity.
