cute swedish breakfast
a bit of a drive outside downtown chi-town, tre kronor is worth the drive for a deliciously warm and well-made breakfast. a very cute, homey, unassuming, moderately-sized swedish/norweigan restaurant, tre kronor offers delicious breakfast foods, some familiar (french toast, belgian waffles) and some not so familiar (pannaker: swedish pancakes).
very popular so expect a wait if you go during peak breakfast/brunch times.

i devoured this french toast! a tinge of sweetness and vanilla/orange taste, this fresh french toast dish was a winner in my book. different enough from your traditional french toast to make it a special breakfast dish.
