Good but pricey

Very good fare/wine in an attractive space, albeit at the usually high prices for an upscale steakhouse. We had to wait 30 mins. for our reserved table, but it was a Saturday night so somewhat to be expected. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and brought us the restaurant’s signature desert — dark chocolate cake with white chocolate gellato (yummy) -- on the house in honor of our being new to the place. Totally ala carte menu with steaks $30-$40 and other entrees in the $20s. I had the Angus ribeye, which was superb and a perfect medium-rare. My companion had a shrimp dish that was also excellent. Given the meat/fish choices, a nice plus was the selection of half-bottles on the wine list. I had an excellent 1/2 of Norman’s 2004 Zinfandel at a reasonable $20. Bottom line is that this is an excellent alternative — or replacement — for Hyde Park and far superior to Morton’s.
